Guidelines for a safe and positive training environment

At Cocolumke, we are committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants. Our studio rules are designed to ensure everyone can enjoy their training experience while respecting fellow members and our facilities.

By participating in Cocolumke events or using our facilities, you agree to follow these guidelines:

Safety First

Safety is our top priority. Always use proper form and technique during exercises. If you're unsure about how to perform a movement or use equipment, ask a staff member for assistance. Never sacrifice form for weight or repetitions.

Respect Personal Space

Be mindful of others' personal space during workouts. Avoid crowding or interrupting someone during their exercise. Wait until they've completed their set before approaching equipment they're using.

Clean Equipment After Use

Wipe down equipment with provided disinfectant wipes after use. This includes benches, dumbbells, barbells, machines, and mats. Maintaining cleanliness creates a more hygienic environment for everyone.

Return Equipment

Return all equipment to its designated storage area after use. This includes weights, bars, mats, and accessories. Keeping the studio organized helps everyone locate equipment efficiently and prevents hazards.

Appropriate Attire

Wear appropriate fitness attire and clean, closed-toe athletic shoes. Clothing should allow for proper movement and not pose safety risks with equipment. For hygiene reasons, a towel is required during workouts.

Respectful Communication

Maintain respectful communication with staff and fellow members. Offensive language, harassment, or intimidating behavior will not be tolerated. Our community thrives on mutual respect and support.

Controlled Noise Levels

While training intensity is encouraged, excessive noise can be disruptive. Limit loud grunting, dropping weights unnecessarily, or playing music without headphones. Be mindful of the shared space.

No External Coaching

Only authorized Cocolumke trainers may provide coaching services within our facilities. Members should not provide unsolicited advice to others unless specifically asked. This ensures professional guidance and safety.

Time Limits During Peak Hours

During busy periods, limit your use of cardio equipment to 30 minutes and strength stations to 20 minutes. This allows fair access for all members. Be willing to share equipment and work in with others when appropriate.

Photography Policy

Photography or video recording is only permitted for personal use and should not include other members without their explicit consent. Respect others' privacy and the focused training environment.

Consequences for Rule Violations

Cocolumke staff reserves the right to enforce these rules to maintain a positive environment for all. Repeated violations may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or termination of membership without refund, depending on severity.
